I love hot cocoa. I have it year round regardless of the temperature outside, but I love it most when it’s this time of year and freezing out. I get all cozy on my couch under my heated throw and wrap my hands around a big, warm mug of it. Add a good movie and we’re talking Best. Night. Ever. If you’re a fan of hot cocoa, then I’m about to be your best friend for introducing you to the Nutella Melt. The recipe sounds amazing already, but it is nothing compared to the taste. This is the most decadent and luxurious mug of cocoa you will ever drink. It has Nutella, so enough said there, but it’s also spiked with Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur), topped with homemade espresso whipped cream, and garnished with a sprinkling of coconut and hazelnuts. <<drops mic>>

Remember that Pumpkin Quick Bread a few posts back? This incredible Cinnamon Roll Quick Bread was the second flavor I made that same day. I mean when they say quick, they mean quick! This bread was easy, but required a bit more work than the pumpkin version. I had to get out the mixer and it was a bit more involved with the pecan-cinnamon swirl middle, but still a quick bread and very much worth it! Certainly faster than making homemade cinnamon rolls. I brought both breads to work and this one was by far the favorite. Which is funny because I liked the pumpkin best out of the oven, but this one proved to hold up and get better the next day. You can’t go wrong with a cinnamon roll bread complete with glaze!

Ok yes, they’re quirky and some folks don’t like when food looks like other food, but that doesn’t bother me. I think these Meatloaf Cupcakes are so funny and every time I see them, I flash a silly grin. I had such a fun time in the kitchen making them. What’s not to love about a meatloaf base, mashed potatoes on top, plus bacon and chives? What’s great about this recipe is that it not only looks interesting, but it tastes absolutely fantastic! In college, my roommate Carol and I thought we would be fancy pants and make a fabulous dinner. We stumbled on this Knorr Parma Rosa sauce mix and decided to serve it over pasta and add shrimp. This meal would be filed away under “Things I eat, but don’t tell anyone because I’m a food blogger damnit!” Believe me, that is a very long list.
