I remember being so excited when I put these Peanut Butter-Honey Brownies on my office birthday treat list. I couldn’t wait for someone to choose them. Brownies are so good by themselves, but when you put goodies on top, even better! I’ve had brownies topped with peanut butter before, but never a peanut butter and honey mix. Top that off with more chocolate and boom! What a decadent dessert made easy!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

I almost feel like I’m giving away a family secret sharing these Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. For as long as I can remember, my mom’s been baking these and they are pretty much the best oatmeal cookie out there. The recipe isn’t a secret as back in the day it was printed on the Quaker Oats can of oats. The difference is the recipe has changed over the years and just isn’t the same as the original. Lucky for you, I’m sharing the original. You can sub raisins for the chocolate chips, add nuts, or leave out the extras altogether. Nothing beats this chewy oatmeal cookie recipe.

Deep Dark Mocha Cake

Forgive me for all these gnarly pictures I’m posting lately. I’m still playing catch up from holiday goodies and I just never get good pictures then. You’d never speak to me if I didn’t share this Deep Dark Mocha Cake with you though. I could not wait to get a slice of this! The name is a bit confusing because there’s no dark chocolate in sight, so I’m not sure why it’s named “deep dark.” When it tastes this good, I don’t care what you call it! Take an ordinary chocolate cake and soak it with espresso, next add a layer of cream cheese filling, then cover the entire cake in chocolate ganache. Done, done, and done!

If you’re a coffee lover, you’ll love these Mocha Toffee Chocolate Cookies! Soft, chewy, chocolatey cookies sprinkled with mini chocolate chips and toffee bits and a taste of espresso. The espresso is really strong initially and gets more subdued the older the cookie. I loved the contrast between the chewy cookie and the crunchy toffee bits.

You know those candies that come out over the holidays? That’s right, I’m talking about chocolate covered cherries! Sweet maraschino cherries covered in fondant and enveloped in chocolate. I’ve even seen a blueberry version, too. This is such a classic holiday candy for me. I love going to stores and seeing the boxes everywhere. Biting into one is a messy, gooey, sweet treat. I could make myself sick eating an entire carton! That’s why I couldn’t wait to make these Chocolate-Covered Cherry Cookies. They are just like the candy, but in cookie form and not quite as messy.

Pumpkin Brownie Swirl Pie

Oh how I love a merging of two obsessions. It’s been a while since I’ve had a combo dessert. What’s not to love about a dessert that let’s you have the best of both worlds? In this case, chocolatey brownies AND pumpkin pie! The second I saw this pie, I knew I’d make it for Thanksgiving. It’s almost a little Halloweenish with it’s black and orange swirls, but oh so perfect for the biggie holidays, too. This Pumpkin Brownie Swirl Pie served warm with a scoop of really good vanilla ice cream is heaven. The brownie is the crust and the top is both swirled together. Sweet and perfectly spiced pumpkin mixed with chocolate brownie is genius.

Butterfinger Pie

It’s not a bad gig being the official birthday treat-maker at work. It gives me an excuse to make some decadent goodies like Fresh Lemonade Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Whoopie Pie Cake, and Tunnel of Fudge Cake. I love baking treats for others and any excuse to whip up something sweet when I’m counting calories isn’t so bad. I mean I have to, right? A little cheating now and then doesn’t hurt, but this Butterfinger Pie will make you want to grab a fork and forget you ever heard the word “calorie.” Trust me, the splurge is worth it. I first made this pie years ago before this blog was ever created. Shame on me for taking years to share it with you. If you’re a fan of Butterfinger, or peanut butter, or chocolate, you are going to fall head over heels for this dessert!

Snickers Cheesecake Pudding Cookies

Cookies are just the best. You name the flavor, there’s probably a cookie out there for it. They’re so easy to make and what I like best is they’re portable! We had a Nashville Food Bloggers shindig not too long ago and I knew I would make cookies. Easy to bake, easy to carry, easy to eat. I like using cookies with pudding in the mix because they are so moist, so I chose Snickers Cheesecake Pudding Cookies! Two of my favorite flavors all in one cookie.

Milky Way Red Velvet Cake Cookies

I think it’s safe to say there are two kinds of cookie lovers. You either go for the soft and chewy variety or crunchy and crispy. I am all the way soft and chewy. I don’t care how chocolate-y or how delicious, if it’s crisp throughout, I won’t eat it. That’s what happened with these Milky Way Red Velvet Cake Cookies. They are crispy and crunchy and just not my thing. However, mom loved these and so did a bunch of her coworkers. The few that I did eat were seriously packed with chocolate, but I couldn’t get over the texture. So if you lean to the crispy cookie side, these are for you!
